These valves have a working pressure range of up to 600 psi (PN40). The temperature range is -20°C to 200°C (for PTFE sealing) and up to 400°C with metal sealing. Select a relief discharge location that vents to a safe area or piping system. Isolate and depressurize the line before starting work. Fit the safety relief valve vertically where possible, with the outlet clear of obstructions. Use proper thread sealant and hand-start threads to avoid cross-threading; torque to recommended values. Install a discharge collector or pipe sized to handle relief flow and slope it away from personnel areas. Keep the adjustment screw accessible but protected. For steam or hot fluids, include cooling and drainage measures. After installation, set the relief pressure, perform a controlled lift test, then check for leaks and proper reseating. Record set pressure and test results for safety compliance.

What’s the difference between a Relief Valve and a Safety Valve?

Both prevent overpressure, but Safety Valves are mainly for steam/gas with quick full-opening, while Relief Valves are used for both liquid and gas and can provide more gradual pressure relief.

Depending on usage frequency and operating conditions, we generally recommend inspection every 6–12 months. If any functional issues are detected, timely maintenance or replacement should be conducted.
